Hyderabad, Feb.8 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy clarified that the State government has no intention of abolishing the existing districts.
“No district within the state will be eliminated. Additionally, there are no plans by the government to establish new districts. The Bhupalapalli district will remain intact; it will persist in its existence. The dissemination of false information for short-term political gain is being perpetrated,” Revanth Reddy said.
As part of his election campaign, Revanth Reddy visited Bhupalpally district on Sunday. Upon his arrival in Kodavatancha within Regonda mandal, the Chief Minister visited the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, where he engaged in special prayers at the nearby Balalayam (children’s temple).
He reviewed the ongoing reconstruction and development initiatives at the temple, which are being funded with an allocation of ₹12.15 crore. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated a guesthouse constructed as part of these efforts. Later, he addressed a public gathering organized in the Chelstar area of Ghanapuram mandal.
The Chief Minister emphasised that the government will refrain from making any decisions detrimental to the Singareni workers. He pointed out that the government’s existence is attributed to the contributions of the Singareni workers. Revanth Reddy cautioned that certain individuals are intent on disseminating harmful propaganda against the government, which will not be tolerated.
Highlighting the state government’s organisation of the Sammakka Saralamma Jatara as a significant event akin to the South Indian Kumbh Mela, he mentioned plans to develop temples from Basara to Bhadrachalam into tourist attractions, alongside initiatives to create resorts in forested regions.
The Chief Minister accused BRS leaders of extorting ₹1500 crore from business owners through phone tapping in the form of electoral bonds. He remarked, “BRS symbolises Blackmail Rajakiya Samithi, and the party is sinking deeper into a mire of wrongdoing. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has transformed into Kalvakuntla Kishan Rao, hindering the arrests of BRS President K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his son K.T. Rama Rao.”
He also asserted that BJP leaders are harassing the Gandhi family, which has made significant sacrifices, with investigations by the CBI and ED. He questioned why KCR, who is implicated in corruption related to the Kaleshwaram project, has not been arrested, and remarked on the protection afforded to KTR concerning the Formula-E car race incident.
Participating in the program were Ministers Sridhar Babu, Konda Surekha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, among others.
