Hyderabad, Nov.26 (NSS): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducted the second Zonal Round of the RBI90 Quiz on November 25 at Kochi. The RBI90Quiz has been conducted nationwide for undergraduate students as part of the ongoing celebrations commemorating 90 years of the Reserve Bank. The zonal round witnessed enthusiastic participation from the State-level winners of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
The winning team from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, comprising Syed Mohammad Hashmi and Hussain Ahmed, secured its place in the National Round of the RBI90 Quiz, to be held on December 6, 2024, in Mumbai, where they will compete against teams qualifying from other zones. The teams from PES University, Karnataka and Mar Ivanois College, Kerala, secured the second and third places, respectively. The top three teams won prizes of ₹5 lakh, ₹4 lakh, and ₹3 lakh, respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, R.S Ratho, Executive Director, RBI said the RBI90Quiz was a key initiative taken to mark 90 years of the Reserve Bank of India, with the objective of engaging with undergraduate students who are future professionals and decision-makers. He also highlighted the importance of financial literacy and drew attention to various steps taken by RBI to promote financial awareness among the student community.
