Hyderabad, December 14(RAHNUMA): Kriti Social Initiatives, in partnership with AMD, organised the “Digital Literacy Run” at T-Works in Raidurgam here, to promote digital inclusion and youth empowerment. The 3-km walk / run saw participation from over 1,000 people, including students, families, volunteers, AMD employees and partner organisations.
The event highlighted the importance of digital skills in today’s technology-driven world. Kriti Social Initiatives, which has been working in women’s skill development and children’s education since 2009, has introduced computer education and digital learning programmes in several government schools. Over the past two years, AMD and Kriti have together reached more than 10,000 beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Kriti Trustee Sreelata Chebrol said the run aimed to raise awareness on the need for digital literacy and bring together organisations working in the field. “In this digital age, it is essential that everyone has access to critical digital literacy skills. This Run aimed to raise awareness about that need and brought together several NGOs working in this space. We were pleased to collaborate with AMD to provide these skills to the youth and were happy to see beneficiaries run together to celebrate digital literacy”, she noted.
Jaya Jagadish, SVP and Country Head, AMD India, reaffirmed AMD’s commitment to inclusive education, stating that STEM and digital learning are key to empowering youth and building digitally strong communities. “By partnering with Kriti Social Initiatives for the Digital Literacy Run 2025, we further strengthen our mission to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world. We are proud to support this initiative and remain dedicated to using innovation and collaboration to build stronger, digitally empowered communities”, she added.
