Pawan meets TTD EO, enquires about adulterated ghee in laddus issue

Guntur, Sept.22 (NSS)Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan today met with TTD EO Shyamala Rao at his Mangalagiri camp office and enquired about the issue of adulterated ghee in the making of laddus. The EO explained that during the tenure of the previous governing council of the TTD board, adulteration of prasadam took place. He explained about the measures being taken by them to rectify the mistakes to Pawan Kalyan. Pawan directed the EO that strict action should be taken against those who allowed adulterated ghee. He made it clear that there should be no compromise on the sentiments and religious issues of the devotees.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan took out an atonement fast at Sri Dasavathara Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Namburu in Guntur district. He reached the temple early in the morning. Later, special pujas were performed to Lord Venkateswara Swamy.

Later, Pawan Kalyan received maladharana at Sri Dasavatara Venkateswara Swamy divya kshetram amidst vedic mantras of the priests. He will be on an 1-day atonement fast. Later, Pawan Kalyan made sensational comments while speaking to the media. Stating that the Tirupati Laddu has a history of 300 years, he said they were not blaming the previous government for political gains. “During the YSRCP regime, the worship practices of the Lord were changed. The money was collected through Srivani Trust. ₹.10,000 was collected and the receipt was given at Rs 500. More than 200 temples were destroyed during the YSRCP rule. The head of the idol of Lord Ram was chopped off at Ramatheertham. The chariot was set on fire in Antarvedi. Even then, I expressed my anguish. in Tirumala, prasadams were  adulterated. I have been saying from the beginning that they are collecting more money,” he alleged.

Pawan Kalyan said he did not expect adulteration to happen at this level.
Stating that the Tirumala laddu found to be rich in fish oil and beef oil, he said it was a grave mistake. “One lakh laddoos mixed with beef and fish oil have gone to Ayodhya. I am not speaking for political gains. The culprits should be punished. I will not wait to see if temples are desecrated. Ours is not a vengeful government,” he said. Pawan Kalyan warned that he would not tolerate any wrongdoing. “What has the TTD board been doing in the last five years? They have to come out on the board and talk. Pawan said there are board members not only for darshans and for contracts. If such uncleanness had taken place in churches and mosques, the country would have been in turmoil. If it happens on Hindu temples, we have to talk about it. I will speak if crores of Hindus are insulted. If something like this happens in a church or a mosque, Jagan would not have kept quiet,” he claimed.

Pawan questioned as to why the employees in Tirumala did not tell about what was happening and added that the Tirumala employees should come out and speak while claiming that the TTD employees have committed a great crime. Pawan said there should be a discussion on this in the cabinet meeting and a discussion should be held in the assembly. He said CM Chandrababu would take the decision of CBI investigation in the issue.
