Hyderabad, Oct.8 (NSS): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has informed that the State government is taking steps to pay salaries to poor and lower level personnel along with regular staff before Dasara festival.
Addressing a media conference at Khammam on Tuesday, the Deputy Chief Minister said the Congress government has been clearing pending bills under welfare programmes which were not cleared by the previous government for a long time.
“The State government has released Rs 114 core towards pending bills due to SC, ST, BC, Minority educational institutions. About 50 per cent of pending bills are being sanctioned every month on a saturation basis,” he disclosed.
Alleging that even small bills like cosmetics charges for students of welfare institutions were not released under the previous BRS government for years together, Bhatti said the Congress government had started clearing pending bills below Rs 10 lakh every month as also bills under mid-day meal scheme.
Sharing futher details, he said a system is being set up to pay salaries regularly every month to outsourcing staff under Mission Bhagiratha scheme, sweepers in Gram panchayats and wages for workers under mid-day meal agencies.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the government is ready to sanction as many transformers and electric poles as required and these will be sanctioned within a month of submission of application.
“For any problem related to electricity department , one may complain to phone number 1912,” Bhatti said.
The previous BRS rulers in the name of updation of revenue records had transferred lands to their benamis, but the Congress government wants to restore encroached lakes back to public,” he asserted.
In the previous government, then chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao used to take unilateral decisions and never used to give opportunity to others to speak in the cabinet. That was why BRS leader Jagdish Reddy was questioning the Musi clean up and restoration issue, Bhatti alleged.
Taking a dig at the former BRS minister, Bhatti said those who look at others with jaundiced eyes and those who lie every day would assume others were also like them.
” The Congress government’s cabinet is a democratic one and every cabinet member would speak on every issue,” Bhatti Vikramarka said.
