Hyderabad, Dec.7 (NSS): BRS Party working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday said a survey representative said the people of Telangana had been vexed with the year-long rule of the Congress government and were keen on handing over the mantle of the State to KCR once again.
Speaking on the occasion of preview of a short film produced by former BRS MLA Rasamayi Balakishan, he said “A survey representative came to me today. He spoke analytically about the year-long rule of the Congress party. He explained what it would be like if there were by-elections in constituencies where defections had taken place. What he said was that after three or four years, there will be anger against any government. The people of Telangana have the quality of patience. But according to him, within a year, the people turned angry at the Congress government. He asked me to continue our party’s fight against the ruling party under the leadership of KCR,” KTR said.
He claimed that the Gandhi Bhavan was fading away and their party’s headquarters Telangana Bhavan was constantly buzzing with people. He said the women of Lagacharla village met him and urged him to bring out their family members from jail and added that the legal cell team was fighting a legal battle for their release.
“We have also lodged complaints with the National Human Rights Commission and the SC/ST Commissions regarding the incident. He said they would raise people’s issues in the assembly session. We will fight on behalf of the people. We have only lost power. The fight has not gone away. The affection of the people has not diminished at all,” he said. KTR made it clear that in the next four months, their party will complete 24 years and enter into its 25th year. “It has been 18 years since I came into direct politics. To the best of my knowledge and thought, this year is going to be the toughest year for us. We have struggled in the movement. Let’s stand up.. People are with us. Let’s wake everyone up and move,” he said. He also said Rasamayi Balakishan would show people what has happened during the last year. Today, I’m really watching a 22-minute short film. “Everyone on the ground is thoughtful. He acted without any one else and acted in a co-operative manner,” KTR said.
Stating that their party MLC Kavitha was put in jail for five-and-a-half months, he said 10 MLAs, who won on their party banner have left. “In the midst of this situation, another party would have collapsed. But a party born out of struggles, built on the foundations of sacrifices, it has never been depressed,” KTR said.
