Hyderabad, Nov.27 (NSS): Former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud today said the plight of the people in Telangana has become like falling from a pan to a stove after the formation of the State. During the last 10 years of BRS rule, the situation had turned out to be the same. He alleged that the Congress government came to power by fooling the people through its false slogans. After coming to power, the condition of the people became worse.
He claimed that the Congress party in the past hoodwinked the people with fraudulent and unwarranted promises. The Congress formed government in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana on the basis of false promises. “The Congress had announced that six guarantees in its manifesto will be implemented within 100 days. The Congress leaders took an oath by the gods and said they would implement the six guarantees, but failed to implement any of the promises made to the people,” he said.
The former MP lamented there was no implementation of Rythu Bharosa scheme in Telangana State. He said the State government had forgotten about the tenant farmers, whom it promised to give Rs 15,000 per acre of land as incentive. He said free electricity under Griha Jyothi was only for the name and added that the middle class people were struggling with the burden of heavy electricity bills.
He said people’s trust in the Congress party and its leader Rahul Gandhi had been evaporated and added that the people had rejected all the announcements of the Congress party’s freebies as in the recently held elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand States.
He predicted that BJP party will come to power in Telangana after the next assembly elections. It has been proved that BJP does what it promises to the people. Telangana State will develop in all fields with Bharatiya Janata Party only,” he said. He said they were demanding that the caste census be completed on December 15 and 42% reservation should be implemented for BCs in the local body elections in January next year.
