
Hyderabad, Nov.22 (NSS): Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to allocate land to the pharma companies to take up construction work in next four months and also provide required facilities in the Pharma City.
The prominent pharma companies in the country have come forward to invest heavily in Hyderabad. Along with the expansion of their companies’ operations, they have entered into MoUs with the State government to set up green pharma companies that are pollution-free.
Representatives of various pharma companies interacted with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu at the Secretariat here on Friday.
On the occasion, the representatives of the pharma companies signed the MoUs related to the establishment of their industries. Together, these six companies will invest around Rs.5260 crores. Through these, 12, 490 people will get jobs in the pharma sector. The State government will allot space for the establishment of necessary units in the pharma city which has already been identified by the state administration.
According to the MoU agreements, MSN will set up R&D center along with laboratory manufacturing unit. Laurus Labs, Aurobindo Pharma will set up formulation units. Gland Pharma will set up R&D center, injectables, drug substances manufacturing units. Dr. Reddy’s Labs will set up an injectable and biosimilars unit. Hetero Labs will set up a finished dose, injectable manufacturing plant.
Representatives of MSN Group, Laurus Labs, Gland Pharma, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Aurobindo Pharma, Hetero Labs companies, TSIIC Chairperson Nirmala Jaggareddy, CM’s Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, Industries department Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan participated in the meeting.
