Hyderabad, Dec.7 (NSS): Telangana Thalli statue controversy continues to heat up in the State. The intellectuals are raising their voices against the Congress government for creating the statue of Telangana Thalli without consulting anybody.
Eminent writer Juluri Gauri Shankar approached the High Court on the installation of a new statue of the Telangana Thalli. He urged the HC to stop the unveiling of the statue on December 9. He claimed that the people of Telangana, intellectuals, writers, poets and artistes were strongly opposing the changes in the statue of Telangana Thalli and added that Telangana society considers the changes in the statue as an attack on the existence of Telangana. He claimed that the image of the existing statue was finalised in the presence of the then CM of the State KCR and intellectuals.
