Hyderabad, Nov.13 (NSS):Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras at 18 locations across the Nation, including Kacheguda Railway station through remote video link. Simultaneously, a function was held at Kacheguda Railway station to mark the commencement of the Janaushadhi Kendra.
Lokesh Vishnoi, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division; Rehman M.A, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and other senior Railway officials from Headquarters and Hyderabad Division were present.
The Prime Minister laid foundation stone and inaugurated various development projects worth around Rs 12,100 crore at Darbhanga, Bihar today. The development projects comprise Health, Rail, Road, Petroleum and Natural gas sectors.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment towards the welfare of the people and service of the nation, he mentioned the development projects of today worth around Rs 12,000 crore. He also touched upon Jan Aushadhi Kendras that offer medicines at low costs.
The Prime Minister underlined the holistic approach adopted by the government with regard to health. He outlined the focus areas of the government and said the first focus area is prevention from diseases; secondly proper diagnosis of ailment; thirdly availability of free or low cost treatment and medicines; fourth to equip smaller towns with better medical facilities; and fifth expansion of technology in the health sector.
At Kacheguda Railway Station, Lokesh Vishnoi, DRM, Hyderabad, stated it is a historic occasion as the Prime Minister has inaugurated Janaushadhi Kendras at 18 locations, including Kacheguda station. He stated that Indian Railways is committed to meet the diverse needs of the public by consistently upgrading facilities and amenities at Railway stations.
He stated the Janaushadhi Kendras will help to enhance the wellness and welfare among all sections by providing quality medicines at affordable prices. It will enable passengers and visitors at railway stations to easily access Janaushadhi products, he said.
Kacheguda Railway station is one of the major stations of SCR with a passenger footfall of around 47,000 every day. Nearly 100 trains originate and terminate at this station for the convenience of the city public. The Janaushadhi Kendra opened in the circulating area of Kacheguda station is especially beneficial for thousands of passengers along with public in purchase of quality medicines at affordable prices.
