Speaking on the occasion, Dr Laxman said Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was one of the founders of the Jana Sangh (erstwhile BJP) party, the party’s ideologue and a prominent figure, who prophesied monotheistic humanism. “He was a man who prophesied the theory of Antyodaya and wanted the poor to get the fruits of the government. In line with the ideals of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working in accordance with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s theory of a government aimed at the welfare of the poor. He said welfare schemes were being distributed through digital means without a middleman system so that the fruits reach all directly irrespective of caste, creed or class.
“From the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17 to the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on September 25, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on October 2, a fortnight of Seva programmes across the country are being held as per the call of BJP national president J P Nadda, BJP workers and leaders are organizing Seva programmes in the form of blood donation and medical camps for the poor up to the polling booth level. The BJP is working on the basis of ideology, with the construction of workers with the slogan of ‘Party with Difference,” he said.
He alleged that the Congress leaders had prophesied and kept it as a principle that the country’s wealth should go to the minorities first and added that as long as the Congress party was in power, it ran the Central government with corruption and scandals.
