Hyderabad, Sept.14 (NSS): The pride of Indian Railways and India’s indigenous semi-high speed Train – Vande Bharat Express – is set to start its maiden journey connecting Maharashtra and Telangana States. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag-off the inaugural Vande Bharat Express connecting Nagpur and Secunderabad, through video remote link on September 16.
The indigenously designed train set of Vande Bharat Express – with state-of-the-art facilities – will provide faster, comfortable and convenient travel experience to the rail users and will be another significant step of Indian Railways vision towards “Aatmanirbhar Bharat”. The train will connect important city Nagpur in Maharashtra and Secunderabad of Telangana strengthening the business ties between the two regions. The Train will connect the Vidharba region of Maharashtra State with industrial hub Ramagundam, Kazipet and Secunderabad.
The train will cover the distance between Nagpur and Secunderabad in seven hours 15 minutes. The train consists of two Executive class coaches and 18 Chair Car coaches fully air-conditioned with a combined seating capacity of 1440 seats. The train provides convenient timings facilitating day time travel from Nagpur, Balharshah and other towns to reach Secunderabad.
The Vande Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities such as On-board Wi-Fi infotainment, GPS based passenger information system, plush interiors, bio vacuum toilets with touch free amenities, diffused LED lighting, charging points beneath every seat, individual touch based reading lights and concealed roller blinds, better heat ventilation and air-conditioning system with UV lamp for germ free supply of air. The infotainment system in every coach and safety features including KAVACH technology are an added feature.
