Mexico, Sept.25 (NSS)In a significant endorsement for the Cyber Satyagraha movement, Lech Walesa, former President of Poland and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, publicly expressed his support for the initiative during the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates. The momentous occasion underscores the global commitment to promoting digital peace and ethical technology use, as Walesa held hands with Sundeep Kumar Makthala, the visionary leader behind the Cyber Satyagraha movement.

Walesa, known for his pivotal role in the Solidarity movement that led to the end of Communist rule in Poland, emphasized the importance of harnessing technology for the greater good. “In today’s world, the fight for peace extends into the digital realm. We must unite to ensure that technology serves humanity and fosters understanding, not division,” he stated.

Sundeep Kumar Makthala, who leads the Cyber Satyagraha initiative, highlighted the significance of Walesa’s support. “Having a global icon like Lech Walesa stand with us amplifies our mission to create a safer online environment for everyone. Together, we can cultivate a culture of non-violence and ethical behavior in cyberspace,” Makthala said.

The Cyber Satyagraha movement aims to address pressing issues such as cyber violence, misinformation, and digital abuse through various initiatives, including Cyber Peace Conferences, Digital Literacy Campaigns, Cyber Satyagraha Global Peace Awards and a Peace Pledge. These efforts are designed to engage individuals from all walks of life in fostering a peaceful and responsible digital landscape.

With Walesa’s endorsement, the Cyber Satyagraha initiative is poised to gain further traction on the global stage, bringing together leaders, activists, and communities to champion the cause of digital peace. As the movement gains momentum, Sundeep Makthala and his team remain committed to advancing ethical technology practices and promoting non-violent solutions to the challenges posed by the digital age.
