
Hyderabad, Nov.11 (NSS): In phone-tapping case, the police served a notice to BRS party leader & former MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah. The police also called Thirupathanna, who was already jailed in connection with the phone-tapping case, was asked to attend before inquiry officer. The two were asked to present in the ACP office in Jubilee Hills today without fail.
Responding to the police notice, Chirumarthi Lingaiah requested the police to give him some time to present before them as he was not able to attend the inquiry today itself due to his ill-health and requested Jubilee Hills ACP Venkatagiri to give him time to present before him on November 14.
Meanwhile, the ACP said there is evidence that Lingaiah had links with the accused in the phone tapping case. The ACP said they would inquire some other leaders in this connection.
