
Hyderabad, June 23 (NSS): Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar has sent legal notices to BRS leaders, including MLA Padi Koushik Reddy and former MP Joginapally Santosh and media houses, including T-News Channel and Namaste Telangana news paper for spreading defamatory and slanderous content with an intention to tarnish his image.
Etooru Purnachander Rao, advocate of ENS Law Associates, who has issued legal notices on behalf of the Minister, to
Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, T News Channel, T News Managing Director Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, Namaste Telangana Daily, Telangana Broadcasting Private Limited, Chief Editor Thigulla Krishna Murthy and Telangana Publications Private Limited.
The Minister stated that the fly ash, which
is generated from National Thermal Power Corporation ( NTPC), is not utilizable and it is supplied free of cost through tender process.
“The fly ash is used for building roads and making bricks. It is transported to different places from Ramagundam. The process of fly ash transportation will be taken care of the NTPC authorities. However, I have nothing to do with this matter. But, the BRS MLA made baseless allegations against me, stating that I am earning lakhs of rupees through the transportation of fly ash. It’s nothing, but to defame my image in the eyes of people,” Ponnam Prabhakar pointed out.
The Minister said that the BRS MLA had stopped the lorries in Huzurabad to ask where the fly ash was being loaded and levelled baseless allegations stating that
the lorries were going with overload and were allowed by taking money.
The Minister’s advocate said that unable to
to face politically with his client, the BRS leader was indulging in malicious propaganda and the same content was aired and published in the BRS’s owned media houses.(NSS)
