
Hyderabad, July 22 (NSS): Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar has urged the Centre to extend its cooperation for the development of Telangana State by allocating adequate funds in the Union budget.
Speaking to the media at Secretariat Media Center here on Monday, the Minister said that the injustice was done to Telangana in the last ten years and the arrears belonging to the Telangana State had been pending for some years.
“Adequate funds should be allocated in the Union budget and justice should be done to all the districts of Telangana State. Many long pending demands, including Smart Cities project, increase in the quota of pensions and ration cards, Indiramma houses, Navodaya and Sainik schools, Bayyaram steel factory and allocation of budget for irrigation projects should be addressed immediately,” Ponnam Prabhakar demanded.
He also urged Union Minister G Kishan Reddy to take an initiative step for increasing the budgetary allocation and resolving all pending issues related to the Telangana State.
“We are ready to work together with Opposition parties for the development of Telangana State,” Ponnam disclosed.
