
Hyderabad, Nov.26 (NSS): The much-awaited Poultry India 2024 was inaugurated today by Sabyasachi Ghosh, IAS, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana’s Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries (AHDD&F) Department. The event brings together leading poultry breeders, equipment manufacturers, and industry professionals from across India and abroad.
This year’s edition has attracted 40 countries, underscoring the global significance of the event. The three-day event, set to be a hub of knowledge-sharing, also features a special Knowledge Day, offering insights into the latest trends, technologies, and best practices shaping the future of the poultry industry.
In his inaugural address, Sabyasachi Ghosh highlighted the crucial role the poultry sector plays in the Indian economy, contributing 1% to the nation’s GDP. He further emphasized the growing importance of Telangana in the poultry industry, positioning the State as a key player in shaping the future of poultry farming and related industries in India.
The Special Chief Secretary also stressed the need for the sector to embrace best practices and adapt to emerging technological advancements. He encouraged industry stakeholders to leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to improve productivity, streamline cost management, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Ghosh’s address pointed out that the integration of such technologies will be vital for the continued growth and competitiveness of the poultry industry.
