Hyderabad, July 14 (NSS): The Bonalu festival was celebrated on the grand scale at the Praja Bhavan, an official residence of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, here on Sunday.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was the chief guest for the celebrations.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka couple welcomed the guests with flower bouquets. Ministers D Sridhar Babu, Konda Surekha, Ponnam Prabhakar, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Government Advisor Vem Narender Reddy and other leaders participated in the celebrations.
Minister Konda Surekha, Deputy Chief Minister Batti Vikramarka’s wife Nandini, MLA Padmavathi and other women elected representatives offered the Bonum to Goddess Nalla Pochamma at the temple located on the premises of Praja Bhavan. On the occasion, the Chief Minister and Ministers performed special pujas to the presiding deity at the temple and received blessings from the Goddess amidst Vedic hymns chanted by the priests.
The elected representatives stated that they have sought the blessings of the Goddess on the Telangana State with safe, secure and abundant rains.
Government Whip Adluri Laxman, Aadi Srinivas, MLAs Malothu Ramdas Naik, Veerlapalli Shankar, Kadiyam Srihari, Ganesh, Kale Yadaiah, Makkan Singh Tagore, N Uttam Padmavathi, Parnika Reddy, Madanmohan Rao, Rammohan Reddy, Gandra Satyanarayana, Vijaya Ramana Rao, former MLA KLR and other leaders were also present in the celebrations.
