
Hyderabad, Feb.6 (RAHNUMA): K. Suresh Kumar, President of Aurobindo Pharma Associates stated that the corporate gifting industry in India has surged to a valuation of $75 billion, with strong growth fueled by the expansion of IT and corporate sectors, particularly in hubs like Hyderabad.
Speaking at a programme after the inauguration of the Quest Asia Gifts & Stationery India Expo at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad on Friday, Suresh Kumar said that the industry, currently valued at approximately $75 billion, is on track to reach $90 billion within the next two years.
He attributed the rapid rise to Hyderabad’s emergence as a major IT hub, home to over 500 software and IT companies, more than 2,400 pharmaceutical firms and labs, along with numerous banking and multinational corporations. This corporate ecosystem has entrenched a robust gifting culture, transforming the sector into a multi-crore business opportunity.
The expo, organised by Expo Galaxia and now in its 5th edition, was inaugurated in Hall No. 1 and will remain open to visitors until February 8 (Sunday). It features a wide array of products from across India, including corporate gifts, leather items, travel bags, T-shirts, smartwatches, storage solutions, school and office stationery, decorative pieces, lifestyle products, healthcare items, and other branded merchandise. Offerings range from budget-friendly options to premium, high-end products.
Rakhi Mukherjee, founder director of Expo Galaxia, emphasised that the exhibition showcases gifts and stationery items, handicrafts, and technology-driven products, catering to both corporate buyers and individual consumers interested in gifting. She highlighted strong footfall from software professionals, MNC representatives, and the general public, drawn by the diverse and innovative range on display.
The event also saw participation from GACS President Praveen Upadhyay, Srikanth, and other representatives from Expo Galaxia, including Dev. Timings are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing ample opportunity for attendees over the three-day event.
