Hyderabad, Aug.27 (NSS): BJP OBC Morcha national president & Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman came down heavily on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who spoke about the absence of BCs and other castes’ candidates in the Miss Universe pageant. He alleged that the comments made by Rahul Gandhi were the culmination of depravity and bankruptcy.
“Rahul Gandhi, who wants a caste census in the country, is shedding crocodile tears for the BCs. Conspiracies are being hatched in the name of caste, religion, region and language with the sole agenda of dividing the society and instigating the BCs,” he alleged. Laxman said the credit for abrogating Article 370 of the Indian Constitution and providing reservation to SCs, STs and BCs in Jammu and Kashmir goes to the Narendra Modi government. “In the last 70 years, why has the Congress not been able to provide reservation to BCs, SCs and STs in Jammu and Kashmir,” he asked.
He alleged that the Congress, in alliance with the National Conference party , was supporting separatism and was trying to bring back Article 370 in Jammu Kashmir . Laxman made these remarks at the OBC Morcha state executive meeting held at the BJP’s Hyderabad Central office on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that had reservations been properly implemented during the Congress rule and BCs were appointed as IAS officers, they would have now been promoted to the position of principal secretaries and joint secretaries in Parliament. “Why didn’t the congress party implement it?
Rahul Gandhi is unable to bear the fact that a simple, BC community member became the prime minister of the country for the third time. He is making derogatory comments on the clothes the Prime Minister wears and the food he eats. He is acting with the view that the country belongs to them and that the Nehru family should rule the country,” he criticised.
Laxman claimed that PM Narendra Modi displayed his acumen to stop the Ukraine-Russia war. “Even various top countries in the world today are looking at India. But international organisations are conspiring with the ulterior motive of weakening Modi and India. The Congress lost thrice under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. The Congress, which did not win even 100 MP seats, is celebrating its victory . This is a strange situation in a democracy,” he said.
