Rajasthani Marwari Samaj meets Governor

Hyderabad, Dec.9 (NSS): Rajasthani Marwari Samaj members today met with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Raj Bhavan here. The Committee Chairman Shrinivas Somani and officials under the aegis of Rajasthani Jagriti Samiti met Governor. The Chairman felicitated the Governor with a shawl, Rajasthani turban, string of pearls and introduced all the officials of the committee.

The chairman provided information about the public welfare programmes done by the Rajasthani Jagriti Samiti so far. The Governor appreciated all the members of the committee on hearing this. The chairman submitted a memorandum to the Governor requesting him to honour former members and dignitaries who have been serving the society for the last 50 years with the Rajasthani Marwari Samaj Ratna award at the Raj Bhavan. The Governor agreed his request and approved to hold the program in the first week of January. After the event, prominent Hindi poets in the city requested the Governor to hold  a kavi sammelan, which was also happily approved by the Governor.

Committee Chairman Srinivas Somani, vice-president Premchand Munoth, treasurer Sanjay Rathi, organisation minister Ramesh Modani, Co-Minister Manish Somani and others were present on the occasion.
