RAMAKRISHNA THEERTHA MUKKOTI ON FEB 1 AT TIRUMALA

Tirumala, Jan.28 (NSS): TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Wednesday conducted a review meeting at Padmavathi Guest House in Tirumala to assess the arrangements for the Sri Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti, scheduled to be held on February 1.

Addressing the officials, the Additional EO instructed them to make all necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of the festival, one of the most significant theertha festivals in Tirumala. He directed the engineering officials to erect shamianas, install display boards, and make announcements through radio broadcasting for the convenience of devotees. He also emphasized close coordination between TTD security personnel and the police.

Chowdary reviewed the arrangements relating to security, Annaprasadam distribution, drinking water supply, medical and health services, and coordination with the forest department. He instructed that Srivari Sevaks be deployed for Annaprasadam distribution at Papavinasanam.

As for restrictions and medical arrangements, the pilgrims suffering from obesity, asthma, heart-related ailments, or other chronic diseases, as well as small children, will not be permitted to participate in the theertha. Devotees will be allowed to proceed only after medical screening at Papavinasanam. To handle medical emergencies, two ambulances and four medical camps will be stationed at the venue.

With regard to transport and timings, private vehicles and two-wheelers will not be allowed to Papavinasanam on February 1. The APSRTC will operate buses to transport pilgrims from Gogarbham Dam Point to Papavinasanam. Devotees will be permitted to visit the theertham between 5 am and 12 noon on February 1.

Senior officers from various departments were present at the meeting.
