Hyderabad, Oct.14 (NSS): The Ranga Reddy District POCSO Court dismissed the bail petition filed by noted choreographer Jani Master in a sexual assault case. He was arrested in the case of the sexual assault on his assistant choreographer. Later he was handed over to police custody for investigation.
Jani urged the court to grant him interim bail as he had to go to Delhi to receive the National Award and the court allowed it. However, the Central government took an unexpected decision by cancelling the National Award to Jani Master due to the sexual assault case he was facing. He later moved a regular bail petition and urged the court to grant him bail. The court, which conducted the hearing on Monday, decided that bail cannot be granted. The court agreed with the argument of Narsingi police that there was a possibility of threatening the victim and the witnesses due to the seriousness of the case.
