Hyderabad, Nov.18 (NSS): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is commemorating the 90th year of its operations this year. As part of the series of events being held throughout the year to mark this milestone, the Bank has launched the RBI90Quiz, a nationwide general knowledge-based quiz competition aimed at undergraduate students.
The RBI90Quiz is a team-based contest, being held in multiple stages. The online phase was conducted from September 19-21. Based on the performance in the online phase, college teams were selected for participation in State-level rounds. The State-level round of the RBI90Quiz for Telangana was conducted at HICC, Novotel, Hi-Tech City where 180 students (90 teams) competed. The team from Osmania Medical college comprising Syed Mohammad Hashmi & Hussain Ahmed emerged as the winner, followed by those from Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering Technology and University college of Management (JNTUH) in second and third places, respectively. Prizes for the top three teams are of ₹2 lakh, ₹1.5 lakh, and ₹1 lakh, respectively.
The winning team will now compete in the Zonal round, which will take place on November 25, . The national final will be held at Mumbai in December 2024.
