‘RESTORE Rs.1,070 CR FIRST’: HARISH RAO TARGETS CM AHEAD OF SIDDIPET VISIT

Hyderabad, March 17 (RAHNUMA): BRS senior leader and former minister T. Harish Rao has slammed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, urging him to restore Rs.1,070 crore in the cancelled development funds before visiting Siddipet.

In an open letter to CM, Harish Rao accused the CM of acting with “vindictiveness” towards Siddipet and halting development works initiated during the BRS regime. He claimed that the projects worth over Rs.1,070 crore were progressing but were abruptly cancelled after the change in government, leading to a standstill in development for over two years. “The current administration had not only neglected the development of Siddipet but had also completely cancelled the funds sanctioned during the BRS government’s tenure. All development works have come to a standstill for the past 27 months due to the cancellation of these funds”, he remarked.

The BRS leader asserted that even the palm oil factory being inaugurated by the CM was sanctioned during the previous BRS government, questioning the Congress government’s contribution to the region.
