
Hyderabad, Feb.12 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday engaged in a productive day in New Delhi, attending a series of meetings with various Union Ministers to address multiple matters concerning the state of Telangana.
Initially, the Chief Minister conferred with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during which he extended an invitation to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Gandhi Sarovar project, scheduled to occur in the final week of February.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy elaborated on the ongoing initiative at the confluence of the Isa and Musi rivers in Hyderabad. He informed the Defence Minister that the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed at this significant junction in February 1948. He emphasised that the Gandhi Sarovar project is part of the larger Musi Rejuvenation Project.
The Union Minister was also apprised that Bapu Ghat is set to be developed into a premier educational, cultural, spiritual, and environmental landmark.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister separately met Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu and Union Minister for Railways and Electronics Ashwini Vaishnav. In his discussion with Minister Rammohan Naidu, the Chief Minister sought to advance the necessary actions following the successful completion of land acquisition for the Mamunur Airport in Warangal.
He further indicated that a location has been identified for the Kothagudem Airport in Palvancha and requested the Union Minister to conduct an Obstacle Limitation Surface (OLS) survey and feasibility study. Additionally, he submitted a request for prompt approval, noting that an alternative site for the Antargaon Airport has been located in Peddapalli district.
Later, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to discuss various railway projects pertinent to the state of Telangana.
