Hyderabad, July 27 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has lashed at BRS MLA Harish Rao for misleading the Assembly with blatant lies.
Giving strong counter to the remarks made by BRS leader T Harish Rao in the Assembly on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that Harish Rao’s speech was full of lies and people were not ready to trust the opposition party.
“The people gave a mandate against the BRS government and punished it in the public court. Unfortunately, the opposition party leader remains unchanged and is making false statements against the current Congress government,” Revanth Reddy said.
He alleged that the previous BRS government sold out Outer Ring Road at a meagre amount of Rs 7,000 crore and BRS leaders had swindled crores of rupees in Sheep distribution scheme.
The Chief Minister further alleged that huge corruption took place in the prestigious Batukamma saree distribution scheme and the previous government had also exploited women’s sentiments.
“Apart from this, the BRS government had looted crores of rupees meant for the innocent Kuruma and Yadav communities and it gave conflicting figures on the expenditure incurred on Kaleshwaram project. Now, they are saying Rs 94,000 crore,” Revanth Reddy said.
Stating that he is ready to make public the statistical data of the lands worth crores of rupees sold out in the last government, the Chief Minister stated that the opposition leader is speaking out only debts and has suppressed the facts of the sale of lands.
“No progress in Palamuru in the last 10 years. Rs 20,000 crore were spent on Palamuru project, but the project has not been completed. Rangareddy district has been neglected and turned into a desert.
The costly lands in Rangareddy district were sold out, but no irrigation facility in the district,” he said.
Stating that it is not good on part of BRS to speak lies even after people rejected the party in the Lok Sabha elections, the Chief Minister dared the BRS party to ready for a probe in the distribution of Batukamma sarees, KCR Kits and Sheep distribution scheme if it’s government had delivered a honest governance during the last ten years.
The Chief Minister further stated that it is very ridiculous the claim of the BRS government which said that it had fought against the Union government on the installation of electric meters to agriculture pump sets.
“The BRS MLA is suppressing facts to cover up their mistakes in the House. The previous BRS government signed an agreement on January 4, 2017 to fix meters at distribution transformers within six months. Officials Ajay Mishra, Raghuma Reddy and A Gopal Rao signed the agreement. Former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao had entered an agreement with the Modi government to fix the meters within six months. Harish Rao should go through the agreement before making false statements in the Assembly,” Revanth Reddy pointed out.
