
Hyderabad, Dec.12 (RAHNUMA): All arrangements are in place for the highly anticipated football match between Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and global football icon Lionel Messi at Uppal Stadium, which has sparked massive excitement across Telangana. Tickets have sold out within hours, reflecting the frenzy surrounding the event.
Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu announced stringent security and traffic measures ahead of Saturday’s match, calling it an event that will “enhance the image of Hyderabad.”
The match, scheduled from 7 pm to 8 pm, will see Z-category security for Messi, who will travel via a dedicated green channel. The commissioner made it clear that no passes will be sold at the venue, urging those without tickets to watch the live telecast from home.
Spectators have been advised to reach the stadium three hours early, use public transport, and avoid bringing personal vehicles. Latecomers will not be allowed entry.
Over 3,000 police personnel, 450 surveillance cameras, drones, and a special control room will be deployed. Officers in mufti and SHE teams will also be stationed to ensure safety, especially for women spectators. Cases will be filed against anyone attempting to meet Messi without permission.
