Hyderabad, July 31 (NSS): Terming BRS MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy as a synonymous for cheating, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said he was too deceived by the BRS MLA.
In a chit chat with media persons in the Assembly on Wednesday, the Chief Minister clarified that he had told BRS MLA KT Rama Rao in the Assembly that I was deceived by believing the words of sisters BRS MLAs Sabitha Indra Reddy and Sunitha Laxma Reddy, who had worked as the ministers in the Congress government in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and later joined the BRS party, and said that he did not even mention their names in the House.
“I have considered Sabitha Indra Reddy as a sister and on her suggestions, I have joined the Congress party. But, after the Assembly elections in 2018, she joined the ruling BRS party and worked against me.
Similarly, when I went to campaign for BRS candidate Sunitha in Narsapur Assembly constituency in 2018 elections, two cases were filed against me. The cases have been still pending in Kaudipalli and Narsapur. She took the post of Women’s Commission and later became an MLA. But, both sisters too deceived a brother like me,” Revanth Reddy disclosed.
He further clarified that there was nothing unparliamentary in what he spoke in the House and he didn’t say a single rude word against both BRS MLAs.
The Chief Minister also found fault with Opposition leader K Chandrashekar Rao for not attending the Assembly session and said, “if Sabitha Indra Reddy was insulted, where did KCR and Harish Rao go?.
“KCR just wants power. If there is no power, he doesn’t bother about people’s problems,” Revanth Reddy alleged.
The Chief Minister said that compared to the past ten years, the Congress government was now running the Assembly democratically and Opposition members were given more time than the ruling party leaders in the House.
