Hyderabad, [10TH March 2025]– The India-Russia Musical Harmony event, held at The Park Hyderabad, was an evening of artistic brilliance and cultural unity. Organized by the Russian House, Chennai, in collaboration with CD Foundation and the Telangana Ministry of Tourism and Culture, the event showcased a rich exchange of traditions between India and Russia.
The highlight of the evening was the enchanting performances by 20 Russian ballerinas, who captivated the audience with their grace and technical brilliance. The evening also featured spellbinding opera renditions, vibrant folk dances and soul-stirring musical performances from Russia’s Mordovia region. These performances offered a glimpse into Russia’s deep artistic heritage, leaving the audience in awe.
A standout moment of the evening was the electrifying performance of the Perini dance, a traditional folk dance from Telangana. Known for its high-energy movements, rhythmic footwork and vibrant expressions, this dance form embodies the spirit and cultural essence of the region. The performance was met with thunderous applause, as the artists transported the audience into the heart of Telangana’s rich artistic traditions.
His Excellency Mr. Alexander Dodonov, Director of the Russian House, Chennai, expressed gratitude for Hyderabad’s warm hospitality and acknowledged the city’s rich cultural heritage. Mamidi Hari Krishna, Director, Department of Language and Culture, Telangana, spoke about the historical and deep-rooted cultural ties between India and Russia. “For decades, our nations have shared an intrinsic cultural bond. From art and literature to cinema and music, our exchange has enriched both cultures, making such events a true celebration of our shared legacy.”
