Hyderabad, Aug.23 (NSS): There was tension at Praja Bhavan here today. Those selected for Dalit Bandhu scheme of the previous government in Telangana staged a dharna demanding sanction of the money under the scheme. Around 500 beneficiaries staged the dharna at Praja Bhavan demanding justice.
According to the available details, the beneficiaries raised slogans over the delay in the release of the Dalit Bandu funds. They demanded that the money be immediately deposited in the accounts of those selected in the second phase of the scheme. Earlier, the beneficiaries organized a rally from Panjagutta to Praja Bhavan.
On the occasion, the beneficiaries warned the Congress government that their movement would be further aggravated. At the same time, they expressed their anger that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was discriminating against the Dalits of the State and asked the CM to stand by them.
