‘Rythu bharosa scheme an illusion, Singireddy

Hyderabad, Sept.21 (NSS): Former minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy today criticized the State administration and alleged that there was no ‘waiver’ for the farm loans taken by the farmers of the State. He mocked that while the crop loan waiver was a magic, the rythu’ bharosa scheme was an illusion.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, Niranjan Reddy said the administration in the State had gone out of gear. He dared the State government to show a single farmer, whose loan of Rs 2 lakh had been waived off in the State. He recalled that in 10 years of KCR’s leadership, Telangana, which had deteriorated during 60 years of united rule, had become the foremost State in the issue of development in country. “Today, Telangana is the second richest State in the country. The States that were formed decades ago before Telangana are in ruins. It is said to be visible in front of the eyes,” he said.

Niranjan Reddy said even though the Congress government borrowed Rs 80,000 crore in 10 months, there was not a significant change in any sector. “During KCR’s rule, we had taken loans and paved the way for radical changes in many sectors,” he said. He said he didn’t know what the same Congress government had done by borrowing money. He alleged that the rythu bharosa scheme had been abandoned and added that the investment assistance was not provided to the farmer even after the completion of the crop season.
