Rythu Sadassu Highlights Govt’s Pro-Farmer Initiatives

Mahabubnagar, Nov.28 (NSS): The three-day long Rythu Sadassu began on the grand scale at Amisthapur village in Mahabubnagar district on Thursday.

The Rythu Sadassu, the grand festival of farmers, was inaugurated by Ministers Damodar Raja Narasimha, Thummala Nageshwara Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao.

The event celebrated the spirit of farming and highlighted the government’s efforts to uplift farmers.

Speaking at the event, Minister for Health Damodara Raja Narasimha expressed his joy in celebrating the occasion, emphasizing that agriculture is not a burden, but a festival. He stated that since the Congress government took office, it has implemented policies to make this philosophy a reality.

He highlighted the State government’s record Investments in agriculture, stating that in just 11 months, about Rs.54, 280 crore were spent on farmers’ welfare and development.

He said the loans amounting to Rs.18,000 crore have been waived for 22.5 lakh farmers in one go and the government has set up 8,000 procurement centers to ensure every grain is purchased without inconvenience to farmers.

The Minister asserted that the Congress government supports paddy cultivation, ensuring it brings prosperity, not despair.

Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageshwara Rao and Minister for Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao also highlighted the State government’s Initiatives for the development of farmers under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

They emphasised the integration of technology in farming, enabling mechanised operations and increasing farmers’ incomes.

The Ministers also criticised the previous BRS government for neglecting farmers and creating fear around paddy cultivation.

They reiterated that the Congress government stands firmly with farmers, providing unwavering support and ensuring their well-being.
