JEDDAH, 23 August: In a move to strengthen Islamic cooperation, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has entered into an agreement with Tajikistan’s Committee on Religious Affairs and Regulation of Traditions, Celebrations and Ceremonies.

The deal was signed on Thursday in Jeddah by Islamic Affairs Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al-Asheikh and Sulaimon Davlatzoda, chairman of the Tajik committee.

It aims to foster collaboration in various aspects of Islamic affairs, focusing on promoting understanding of the religion by highlighting its merits, tolerance and stance on contemporary issues through the exchange of research and scientific books in various languages.

The two countries will also hold joint scientific seminars to train professionals in Islamic affairs and exhibitions to introduce Islamic teachings.
