
Hyderabad, Sept.2 (NSS): Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway (SCR) inspected Intakanne –Kesamudram section of Secunderabad Division on Monday to reviewed the progress of track restoration works. The Railway track between Intakanne – Kesamudram section (near Kms 418 & Kms 432) has been damaged due to heavy rains and overflowing of flood water.
The General Manager inspected and reviewed the progress of restoration works and held detailed discussions on the plans of restoration in the affected locations of Intakanne – Kesamudram section. The restoration woks have been undertaken on war footing basis and the work is being carried out 24×7 to restore normalcy in train operations at the earliest. At 418 Kms, the damage was done at five locations, out of which 4 locations have been attended to and the works are progressing swiftly. Further, at 432 km, 4 spots sustained the damage, out of which three spots have been attended to restore and the work at the last spot in under fast progress.
The general manager emphasized that the restoration work should be taken up with standard safety norms to ensure optimal safety in train operations. He instructed the divisional officials to complete the track restoration as early as possible to run the trains. He advised them to ensure completing the works regarding diversion of water flow on war footing with all safety standards.
Arun Kumar Jain has reached the site at around 09.00 hrs and personally monitored the track restoration works along with other senior Railway officials.
