Hyderabad, Aug.12 (NSS): SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain conducted a review meeting on according top priority and strict observation of Safety rules during Monsoon season over the zone on Monday at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions also participated in the meeting through Video conference.
Arun Kumar Jain laid emphasis on adherence to safety procedures in view of the ensuing monsoon season. He instructed the officials to strengthen patrolling and monitoring at all the identified vulnerable sections, bridges and locations with rainfall to prevent unsafe conditions. He also informed the concerned officials to ensure cleaning and maintenance of water drains and waterways to avoid flooding of tracks and ensure smooth running of trains.
Arun Kumar Jain also held a detailed review on freight loading performance of the zone. He advised the officials to focus on new areas of traffic and make attempts to further improve the speed of freight trains. He also conducted a review of speed enhancement on the newly commissioned lines and routes.
