SCR holds meeting with passenger associations of Twin-Cities

Hyderabad, Oct.17 (NSS)Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and  Lokesh Vishnoi, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division held meetings with members of various passenger associations from the twin cities regarding improvement of  MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport System) and Sub-urban train services on Wednesday at their respective divisional headquarters.

Representatives from associations like DRUCC, Twin- Cities Suburban Travelers Association, Sr. Citizen’s Association, Ammuguda, Sri Raghavendra Nagar Colony Welfare Association, Vivekanandapuram Welfare Association and SCR Rail Fans Association participated in the meetings at Sanchalan Bhavan and Hyderabad Bhavan. Other senior officials from the divisions were also present.

The Divisional Railway Managers held detailed discussions with the passenger associations regarding measures to be taken to further improve the operations MMTS services. The representatives provided suggestions regarding enhancing punctuality, increasing patronage of MMTS trains, remodelling of Hylites app, extension of services and so on. The members also represented provision of additional stoppages and restoration of MMTS trains in different routes.

All the recommendations given by the members were taken on a positive note and the DRMs assured that their suggestions will be examined and all steps will be undertaken to provide the best train services to the people in the twin-cities region.

SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain is personally monitoring the punctuality of MMTS services. The General Manager advised the divisions that delays in MMTS trains should be avoided and the focus should be on maintaining punctuality. He advised the divisional officials that based on the requirements of the public and considering the discussions held with the passenger associations, the appropriate action should be taken at the earliest to further improve the MMTS services. The ultimate aim of each of us is the betterment of passenger service to the rail users, he said.
