SCR WOMEN’s WELFARE BODY CELEBRATES REPUBLIC DAY WITH SCHOOL CHILDREN

Hyderabad, Jan26 (RAHNUMA): The South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SCRWWO) celebrated the 77th Republic Day with students of Vidya Vihar High School, Chilkalguda, here on Monday.

SCRWWO President Vandana Srivastava unfurled the National Flag and distributed snacks and pencil kits to students, urging them to balance academics and sports while remembering their duties as citizens. Vandana Srivastava said that Republic Day is not merely a celebration but a reminder of citizens’ duties. She explained the significance of unfurling the National Flag as a symbol of the Constitution and the strength of the Republic, and encouraged students to maintain a healthy balance between academics and sports.

Later, the SCRWWO President visited Central Hospital, Lalaguda, where she inaugurated newly constructed rest rooms for contract housekeeping staff (ladies and gents) in the presence of committee members, Dr. Nirmala Rajaram, Principal Chief Medical Director, SCR, and Dr. I. Siva Naga Prasad, Medical Director, Central Hospital.

The SCRWWO also donated two RO systems, four wall fans, three sets of staff lockers (20-capacity each), one almirah, and 20 chairs for the use of contract staff.

Later, she inaugurated newly built rest rooms for contract housekeeping staff at Central Hospital, Lalaguda, and announced donations of RO systems, fans, lockers and furniture for staff welfare.
