Hyderabad, Dec.6 (NSS) The State Secretariat is gearing up for the grand inauguration of Telangana Talli statue on December 9.

]Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will preside over the grand event and inaugurate the statue on that day.

]The statue depicts Telangana Talli in a green saree, holding corn and rice sheaves in her hand, symbolizing the agrarian culture of the State. Adorned with three traditional ornaments and wearing anklets, the statue embodies the spirit and ethos of Telangana. Crafted meticulously by Secretariat officials at Pedda Amberpet on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the new statue has been designed to captivate and inspire.

]Chief Minister Revanth Reddy personally supervised the design process, ensuring it authentically represented Telangana’s heritage. The initiative comes in response to past controversies, where critics alleged that the previous Telangana Talli statue resembled BRS president and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter, Kavitha. Revanth Reddy had also criticised the earlier statue on several occasions, claiming it reflected aristocratic tendencies and feudal arrogance.

To address these concerns, the Chief Minister ensured the new design embodies inclusivity and humility, aligning with the people’s sentiments. The statue now stands as a testament to Telangana’s rich culture and democratic spirit, ready to be unveiled in a grand ceremony.
