Hyderabad, Dec.12 (NSS): Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka has expressed unhappy with the performance of the Telangana Food Corporation.
The Minister held a review meeting with officials on the performance of Telangana Food Corporation at Secretariat here on Thursday and expressed angry at the officials for taking unilateral decisions in awarding works through nomination method without tenders.
She stated that despite taking action against two officers, the attitude of other officials has not changed and they are working taking unilateral decisions without following the proper guidelines.
Officials were directed to act transparently during the award of works and to conduct the tender process in a fair manner.
The Minister also ordered to serve notices to contractors who supply substandard and unhygienic goods.
Stating that the Telangana Food Corporation, which manufactures Bala Amrutham and supplies it to Anganwadi children, has a lot of responsibility, Seethakka made it clear that officials should not compromise on the quality of goods and other products.
