Several Congress leaders defect to BRS: KCR

Hyderabad, Nov.16 (NSS)BRS party working president KT Rama Rao today said their party was not an ordinary force and added that KCR was not an ordinary person. He said the BRS party has lakhs of workers in villages and towns now.

Speaking on the occasion of several Congress leaders from RajendraNagar constituency joining the BRS party, he said all people were aware of the developments happening in the State. “The people know what’s going on. Let me remind you one thing in particular. At the time of the formation of the State, there were doubts in Hyderabad, especially in Rajendranagar and many other assembly constituencies. There were no investments in Hyderabad. They said existing investments would be disinterested and development would be stunted.

Hyderabad’s brand image would be damaged. There were rumours that there would be a conflict between Hindus and Muslims. But under the leadership of KCR, development as our caste, welfare as our religion, we have brought everyone together and provided development and welfare schemes in a timely manner. Thus, the then CM KCR ruled the State for 10 years,” he said.

KTR recalled that Telangana had  become a role model for the country in all spheres. He said even if the MLAs leave the party, he would bow his head to their party  soldiers who did not leave the party by saying that they would  be with the party  even if others left the party for posts.

“Difficulties come to everyone. Winning is not new. When KCR launched the party in 2001, he was accompanied by a handful of people. Today there are lakhs of workers. The BRS party has expanded in the towns. KCR is not a person. BRS is not an ordinary force. Some are dreaming of madness. Revanth Reddy says he will finish KCR and BRS. Like the CM, in these 24 years, many people have made great strides. Crazy temptations were made. Those who said they will finish KCR have themselves disappeared from the political scene. Revanth was asked to look into history. If KCR had not given his nod to the formation of Telangana State, would Revanth have been the CM today? Power and power are temporary. But the place in the hearts of the people is eternal,” KTR said.
