Hyderabad, Feb.4 (RAHNUMA): Highlighting the importance of meeting established targets while placing utmost emphasis on quality, Singareni Chairman and Managing Director D. Krishna Bhaskar emphasised that consumers now exclusively seek high-quality coal. He directed the general managers across all divisions to implement all necessary actions to align with this objective.
During a review meeting conducted via video conference on Wednesday, he engaged with company directors and the general managers from various sectors, concentrating on issues related to coal production, transportation, and quality.
In his remarks, Krishna Bhaskar underscored that the current coal market only accepts coal of the specified quality. Consequently, there needs to be a shift from a mere focus on quantity to a concerted effort toward enhancing coal quality standards. He asserted that the organization’s future hinges on the commitment of every officer and employee to advance this initiative.
Krishna Bhaskar noted that, for various reasons, the company has experienced a slight setback in meeting its monthly production targets this year. Nevertheless, he mandated that, until the conclusion of the current financial year, daily efforts must be directed toward achieving a minimum production of 2.20 lakh tonnes of coal, transportation of 2.40 lakh tonnes of coal, and removal of 15.5 lakh cubic meters of overburden. During the meeting, general managers from different areas provided updates on their ongoing production activities.
