SMVT Bengaluru – Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express from today

Hyderabad, Aug.2 (NSS): V. Somanna, Minister of State for Railways, will flag off Train No. 22232 SMVT Bengaluru – Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express with additional stoppage at Yadgir Railway station (through remote video link) in the presence of dignitaries and railway officials at a function to be held on August 3, 2024 at 21 hrs at Yadgir Railway Station.

Yadgir station serves the people of surrounding villages, who depend upon Rail transport to travel to Bengaluru and also to various destinations across the country. Yadgir station is a Non-Suburban Grade – 3 (NSG-3) Railway station in Guntakal Division of South Central Railway. The station has a footfall of around 10,000 persons per day on an average with an average revenue of Rs 8 lakh.

Accordingly, in order to facilitate the passengers and meet the demand, Ministry of Railways has approved the provision of stoppage at Yadgir station for Train No. 22232 SMVT Bengaluru – Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express with effect from 3 rd August, 2024 and Train No. 22231 Kalaburagi – SMVT Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express with effect from August 4.

The train starts early in the morning at 05.55 hrs towards Bengaluru and in the return journey it reaches at 21.45 hrs towards Kalaburagi. The train also offers a day journey with complete sitting AC accommodation in AC Chair Car and Executive Class coaches. In addition, the train also provides convenient travel facility to the people of Yadgir to travel to shorter distances like Kalaburagi, Raichur, Mantralayam, Guntakal and back with convenient day journey timings.
