
Hyderabad, Dec.8 (NSS): Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar has directed the officials to take adequate measures to ensure that the sessions of the Assembly and Council are held smoothly without any problems.
Prasad Kumar, along with Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy and Legislative Secretary Dr. V. Narasimha Charyulu, held a meeting at his chamber in the Assembly on Sunday and reviewed arrangements for the Assembly sessions.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Special Chief Secretary (Finance) Ramakrishna Rao, Principal Secretary MA & UD- Danakishore, GAD Secretary Raghanandan Rao, Special Chief Secretary (Home) Ravi Gupta, DGP Jitender, ADG Mahesh Bhagwat, DG Fire Nagi Reddy, Hyderabad, Rachakonda, Cyberabad Commissioners – CV Anand, Sudheer Babu and Avinash Mahanthi, Intelligence IG- Karthikeya, Assembly Chief Marshal- Karnakar, Council Chief Marshal Sanjeeva Reddy were also present in the meeting.
The Speaker said the Assembly sessions should be held in a comprehensive manner while maintaining the dignity and eminence of the sessions and officials should provide adequate information to the Members as it was in the past.
“The information asked by the Members should be provided as soon as possible. The pending answers to questions related to past sessions should be sent immediately. Moreover, it will be helpful to prepare the Members by printing the information in Telugu, Urdu, and English and providing it to them in advance,” Prasad Kumar said.
He further stated that when the department-related discussion is going on, the officials of the concerned departments should be available and they should provide appropriate information to the Ministers and Members in the House.
The senior officials of all the departments should be available for all the days of the sessions. A nodal officer should be appointed for each department,” the Speaker suggested.
