Hyderabad, Feb.6 (RAHNUMA): CPI central executive committee chairman Narayana stated that for the first time in India’s parliamentary history, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha has advised the Prime Minister not to attend the House citing a threat to his life and this shocking development is unprecedented and deeply disturbing.

“This is not a routine security issue. It represents a grave failure of the State. Parliament is supposed to be the most secure and sacred democratic institution in the country. If even the Prime Minister cannot be assured safety within it, the government’s claims of maintaining internal security stand fully exposed,” he said.

“The ruling regime repeatedly projects itself as a guardian of national security. However, this incident lays bare the hollowness of that propaganda. A government that cannot guarantee the safety of its own Prime Minister has no credibility to claim it can protect the lives of ordinary citizens,” the CPI leader said.

He stated that this incident marks a dark day for Indian democracy and raises serious questions about governance, accountability, and the erosion of democratic institutions under the present dispensation.

“The people of India deserve answers — not silence, not excuses, and not propaganda,” he said.
