Sri Malayappa Swamy will take celestial ride on Garuda Vahanam on Oct. 8

Tirumala, Oct.7 (NSS)On the fifth evening of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams, Sri Malayappa Swamy will take a celestial ride on Garuda Vahanam on October 8 from 6.30 pm onwards till 11pm, said TTD EO  J Syamala Rao.

Addressing media persons in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Sunday evening, the EO along with the SP Subbarayudu said around two lakh devotees wait in the galleries. Devotees waiting an Inner Ring Road and Outer Ring Road for darshan of Garuda Seva will be given darshan through Supatham, South West Corner, Govindanilayam North West Gate and North East Gate. Necessary sign boards will be arranged at all the points for their convenience, he added.

“We appeal to devotees to enter these points without carrying luggage. In view of the safety and comfort of the devotees, the movement of two-wheelers on the roads of Tirumala Ghat roads are stalled from 9 pm of October 7 to 6 am on October 9. For the safety of pilgrims as well to avoid traffic congestion in Tirumala, the public are requested to use public transportation. We have taken steps to transport around three lakh people through 3,000 round trips in RTC buses as against 2400 last year.

RTC buses have been arranged to go to Tirumala from parking places in Tirupati, Kadapa, Chittoor and Srikalahasti routes also. We are also providing QR codes for identifying the parking places with ease. Enough parking arrangements for 9000 vehicles in almost 25 places have been identified that includes Balajinagar, opposite Kaustubham, Rambhagicha bus stand and Mullagunta areas in Tirumala.

Two thousand two wheelers at Alipiri old-check point in Tirupati, four wheelers at Vinayaknagar quarters, Nehru Municipal Park, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Devaloka and additionally at Srivari Mettu. We have set up mobile clinics, 12 ambulances, doctors and paramedical staff at four corners of Mada streets for medical services to devotees. 28 large digital screens have been set up in Mada Streets, Museum crowded with devotees, Varahaswamy Rest House, Annadanam Complex, Rambhageecha Rest House, Filter House and other places to watch Vahanaseva on Garudaseva.

Besides 1250 TTD cops, 5000 police personnel have also been deployed to vigil the Garuda Seva besides Octopus, Grey Hounds teams have also been deployed. Elaborate Annaprasadam, water, arrangements have been made and Srivari sevaks will offer service to pilgrims in all galleries and outside places.
