Thrissur (Kerala), April 6 (RAHNUMA): Minister for IT, Industries and Legislative Affairs, Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Monday carried out an intensive election campaign in Thrissur district of Kerala, where Assembly elections are underway, in support of Congress candidates.
Accompanied by Thrissur district Congress president Joseph Tajet, the Minister has been actively campaigning over the past two days in several Assembly constituencies, including Ollur, Nattika, Kaipamangalam, Pudukkad, Chalakudy, Kodungallur, and Manalur, alongside local Congress candidates.
Thrissur district has 13 Assembly constituencies, of which the UDF led by the Congress had won only two seats in the 2021 Assembly elections. However, with the ruling LDF facing significant anti-incumbency this time, political observers believe the Congress-led UDF stands a strong chance of winning a majority of seats in the district.
While remaining engaged in electioneering throughout the day, Sridhar Babu also held a series of meetings late into the night with senior Congress leaders from Thrissur, reviewing campaign strategy and constituency-level political developments.
During these interactions, he called upon party leaders and cadre to work in complete unity and with a shared sense of purpose to ensure the victory of Congress candidates.
Vikas Thakre, Congress MLA from West Nagpur in Maharashtra and president of the Nagpur District Congress Committee (DCC), also met Sridhar Babu and held discussions on the ongoing election campaign and political situation on the ground.
