Hyderabad, Dec.10 (NSS): Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu had a busy day on Tuesday as he participated in several developmental programmes in Ghatkesar of Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
Minister Sridhar Babu, along with Government Whip Mahender Reddy and local MLA Chamakura Malla Reddy, laid the foundation stone for additional classrooms and other developmental works at the Gurukul Junior College, being constructed at a cost of Rs.1.5 crore.
The Minister also inaugurated the ITI college building for girls in Kondapur, Ghatkesar mandal, which was constructed at a cost of Rs.7.96 crore. This building was funded under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
Furthermore, Minister Sridhar Babu inaugurated a specialized floor equipped with 20 advanced sewing machines, purchased at a cost of Rs.7 lakh, for the Fashion Technology course at the ITI. The State government has approved five trades for this ITI, which will commence in the upcoming academic year with 224 seats allotted.
Later, the Minister inaugurated the CM Cup sports competitions at the Gurukul Junior College. The event saw participation from HAL General Manager D. Ramamohan Rao, Employment Generation Department Joint Director Nagesh, ITI Principal Shankarayya, and several other officials.
These initiatives aim to promote education, skill development, and infrastructure improvement in the region, reflecting the government’s commitment to holistic growth.
