
Hyderabad, July 22 (NSS): Former minister Harish Rao today alleged that the administration in the state had collapsed and added that the government had fallen asleep. He made these remarks during an informal chat with media persons at the BRSLP office in the assembly of the city.
Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that serious issues were plaguing people across the state. He said that sanitation in the village panchayats had become chaotic. Today, the workers have been deprived of their salaries, he said. “Under KCR’s regime, ₹. 275 crore was released to the village panchayats every month,” he said . He also said the Centre had released Rs 500 crore to panchayats before March and the added that government had not released a single paisa in the same state.
He claimed that Aasara pensions, which were pending for two months, only after the BRS party called for an agitation. “When the mid-day meal scheme staff are not paid their salaries, movement has come in the state government only after taking up their matter with it . He said that MGNREGS Material component bills worth around Rs 2,500 crore were pending in the state. “The schemes have been affected due to the non-payment of matching grant by the state despite receiving funds from the Centre,” he said . He alleged that the Centre had given Rs 850 crore for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme but the state had not released Rs 350 crore towards its share .
“Small contractors who have taken up works across the state are committing suicide due to non-receipt of bills,” he said. He alleged that the condition of field assistants and panchayat secretaries in the villages was unmanageable and added that money was being spent out of their pockets due to lack of funds. He said that the power department in the state was reeling under a severe crisis and added that the government was giving bizarre reasons for the power cuts. He alleged that the electricity service to gram panchayats and government schools was being removed for not paying the electricity bills. “Even diesel money is not being given to the police vehicles. Kalyanalakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak distributed cheques are getting bounced at banks ,” he claimed .
Reminding that The CM said that the ration card is not the standard for the implementation of farm loan waiver scheme of farmers, He alleged that the data of the PM Kisan Yojana was being linked to the farm loan waiver scheme .
Harish Rao clarified that 30 to 40 per cent of those who are eligible for the loan waiver of up to Rs 1 lakh had not been extended the waiver benefit . He alleged that CM Revanth Reddy was following double standards in the appointments of IAS and IPS officers. “ CM Revanth Reddy, who was in the opposition when postings were given to IAS and IPS officers during BRS government’s tenure, had commented that officers from bihar state were being given lucrative postings. Today, when there are so many eligible officers of Telangana, then why was a person from Punjab appointed as the DGP of Telangana state,” Harish Rao asked .
