Steps to be taken towards achieving goal: AP BJP chief Purandeswari

Vijayawada, Aug.21 (NSS)The BJP’s assembly registration drive began in the city on Wednesday morning. The AP BJP wing has convened an awareness meeting on membership registration.

Speaking on the occasion, AP BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari said the membership drive was their responsibility and added that they were taking steps towards achieving the goal. She said the  responsibility for the development of the country and the development of the State rests with every party worker. The BJP has been moving forward with an ideology and the strength of its workers since its inception. The journey that started in 1984 with two people in parliament is now working for the development of the country by the BJP government.

“Under the leadership of PM Modi, we are moving ahead with the ideology of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. This theory is about reaching our goal,” she said and made it clear that the BJP government would work for the development of some States even if it was unable to win them. She recalled that during the corona virus pandemic, BJP workers stayed close to the people and rendered service.

“Workers are the strength of the BJP. There are about 37 lakh members in the state. Under Modi, India has emerged as the fifth largest economy. We are able to implement many welfare schemes for the poor,” she said. She also said that if India becomes the third economic power, the BJP would work for the poor even more.

Former Uttar Pradesh minister PrayagRaj, MLA Siddharth Nath Singh, Arvind Menon (state BJP membership in-charge), former chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Somu Veerraju and BJP MLAs were the chief guests at the membership drive.
